A recent study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology looked at the results of 36 separate pieces of research into the relationship between self-reported Emotional Intelligence (EI) and job performance, with an overall data set from 2,168 employed adults. The authors were able to conclude that there is a strong correlation between EI and job performance.
Famous scientists have said that their discoveries seem to be merely following up the revelations of mystics from the past, and even the arrogantly skeptical Freud wrote, “everywhere I go, I find a poet has been there before me”.
